My New Toy!

My life changed quite drastically in the new year. 

While working an 8-5 and traveling 2-3 weeks out of the month was an exciting experience, I couldn't bare that lifestyle much longer. In a tough economy, the right thing to do would have probably been to wait to find something new before leaving the comfort of my cramped cubicle, I decided to leave and chase something that provide a much greater quality of life. 

So I bought this bad boy… A Canon Rebel T5i Digital SLR Camera with a 18-135 mm lens.

I have absolutely no intentions of using this as a typical point and shoot camera, and every intention of potentially becoming a professional photographer {hopefully}… So I found this fantastic blog by a professional photographer named Darcy titled 31 Days to a Better Photo (Found here: http://my3boybarians.com/31-days-to-a-better-photo/). She has several photography series that I'll be following along as well. 

So here's my journey to establishing Katie Robinson Photography… or some other catchy phrase that I'll think of later.
